Exam Overview
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts exam for Assistant job post for their various banks. This exam is conducted every year by RBI under the banner of IBPS. This exam has three stages: preliminary exam and main exam. Cut-offs and marking scheme are different for both the exam stages.
The New RBI Assistant Exam Pattern
According to the revised scheme of RBI Assistant Exam Pattern for 2019 Recruitment, the online examination will be conducted in two phases, i.e. Preliminary and Main examination. Candidates who qualify in Preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the Main examination. Your selection will be decided on the basis of Mains examination, only.

Note:
- ¼ marks will be deducted for each negative answer.
- The Paper mode will be English/ Hindi.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
FOR MAIN EXAM:
The Mains exam will be conducted within 2-3 weeks of the Prelims paper.

The paper will be bilingual in nature i.e. Hindi and English.
- Each question will carry 1 mark.
Now onwards, the RBI will make the Final List based on the following criteria, as it did this time:
- overall performance based on Mains marks
- performance in Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
- reservation requirements
- medical fitness
- submitting acceptable documentary evidence in relation with:
-Age
-Education Qualification
-Category
-Caste Certificate, etc.
