  • The overall weightage of this paper is 100 Marks
  • Descriptive Paper is bilingual i.e. You can choose to write the Paper either in Hindi Or in English.
  • You need minimum 33% marks to qualify this  Paper/ Tier 3.

Now, here are some essential writing tips to grab very good marks in Tier III ,  interesting to read and at the same time, with possibly zero % errors.

SSC CGL Tier 3 (Descriptive Paper) Preparation Tips

  • You can’t write anything unless you read something. So, for a good writing, DO READ A LOT.
  • Don’t read the whole story/paper/comics in just one go. Try to chunk it into segments, then, simply focus on what you read in first 10 minutes, try to write its summary in your own words, this will give confidence, and don’t write too much on a single day. else it’ll deteriorate your interest and creativity with your developing writing skills.
  • Stick to word limit
  • Pay attention to the correct use of grammar.
  • Once you are done with your writing work, check for grammatical errors, repetitions and spelling mistakes if any. If possible, share it with your school teacher, let him/her check , and take regular feedback from him/her. This will improve your writing skills a lot as per the SSC requirements.
  • Never write in short forms, avoid use of whatsapp language /trending way of communication, this will harshly impact your marks.
  • Most important thing, set your daily writing goals. And, try to be consistent, you’ll thank me after a month of initiating this practice, when you will find yourself in a very different level. But anyway, collecting thanks, is not my motive, your improvements are fair enough.
  • Writing is not a one time/one hour job, which you can finish desirably/happily. Writing is somewhat a way of expressing your ideas/views about something. It all depends how you think, you behave, you read, you look and feel the things around you. Its not just the perception, its a kind of habit, which I suppose can’t be developed in just over a night. Its quite similar to a reading habit, but that demands time, interest, mood, and most important your focus. But in writing, we’re bound to focus, here, we’ve to derive some ideas, thoughts, need atleast some facts, relative stories to make the writing seems effective.
  • Writing can be improved by simply following a few simpler steps, but with consistency I believe. Every thing demands some quality time to develop, thrive and flourish. (e.g. here in my writing, though these three words are quite similar in sense, but here , they have been used in , indeed a different way, you just need that outlook to findout).
  •  Similarly, just relate your stuffs with your writing, don’t improvise , just design it.
