Top 5 must Do’s during Interview

Resume of each candidate applying for a job, they have one thing common, i.e. their motto at that particular moment. So, this might be possible that the person sitting next to you, might have better credentials than you have. Feeling tensed!!! What to do next??? You might be wondering ‘how to survive and grab the victory by the end of the interview irrespective of the competitions from other candidates.

So, one thing you might have noticed here, you need to make a show-off …..Yes, you read this right. See, here what actually matters is your confidence and your faith in yourself apart from your credentials. Right.

Sometimes, you might have noticed/heard that a person with not so appealing credentials, grabbed a handsome job. So, how this happened? Luck!!! Simply, A big NO. There are  simple reasons behind  this, i.e. its his vision and prospective optimistic behavior or might  be possible his just  faithful confidence worked for him. But, trust me , simply saying LUCK Matters, is nothing but an escaping way from your injustice done by you to your opportunity.

So, whats next??? should I go to join confidence boosting class, or should I suppose to forget all these , and simply move on with my life. My friends, simply No,it’s not required( “NO, means NO”…..Indeed, a very powerful dialogue from a very practical movie name PIKU , delivered by the legend Mr. Amitabh Bachchan). Now, coming back to your situation, I have a suggestion for you, simply follow these guidelines, I’m sure this will work for you.

Here, are the following five Do’s which you need to consider at the time of preparation.

1.  Prepare your resume very well

See, what matters here, is not just your confidence, but also how you represent yourself in an interview, which simply not just measured on the basis of your confidence. I’m not saying that showing confidence is not very important. NO, this is as important as your presence in  the interview, but this is not just the key factor to blow it away. You need a proper preparation of your resume, simply focus on what you have written in your resume, and please, don’t misinterpret me here, by simply starting mugging your resume…No, please don’t do that, this will spoil it over. See , with preparation I mean to say, you need to focus on every key points which you have mentioned, and how can you prove them, just be ready with a supporting story which can prove your written point in appropriate way. But, remember don’t start fascinating the story simply telling a story in which you played a Rajnikant type role which won’t be possible in real to resist or digest. Simply, be natural and true to your story, and keep it short and productive.

Because, they can ask you at any time about your role, your experiences, your achievements in your study, life. so, in that case, you need to be real and as prospective as possible. Simply, show your coherent intelligence with the help of your behaviour , thoughts and the outcomes which you get as per your input to any particular situation, project or simply a query.

2.  Show some gestures

See, showing gestures is a good sign of maintaining  a healthy communication. It is always considered if a person is active participant of a team, he must be alert possibly all the time alloted, this can be attained simply by showing gestures that shows your effective  presence there, because all the time, shouting, yelling, or responding in affirmative or corresponding way is not considered as good signs of attentiveness. And, simultaneously showing no signs of attentiveness is also quite irritating, and  sometimes so annoying that the interviewer ends up the interview. Because he/she doesn’t find the interviewee interesting and active.

Let’s consider an example here, suppose in a class, a teacher is teaching some interesting topic, and class is also enjoying it, but ironically, they are not showing any signs of response / enjoyment/understanding. In that case, that teacher might get confuse with a thought that this class might not getting the topic irrespective of good teaching, in that case, he might leave some typical topics or something just to make the class understand, in that attempt, he won’t focus on the quality of content, instead he would engulfed in letting them understand. so, definitely there is a great chance of missing some points which might be important.

So, we should avoid making such mistakes, we should always be very attentive and present in the interview and  prevent ourselves from getting spaced out. And, for this simply nodding head, sometimes a slight smile is enough to show your presence and attention.

3. Always speak loud enough but not in insignificant voice.

Speaking with loud voice is a good sign of confidence and competency. But when your pitch starts struggling or getting choked, this shows a sign of impractical incompetence, which is truly not a desirable quality they are seeking in you. Deliver your voice like a boss, but with a sense of politeness so that it can be audible and also it also has in-depth respect for its listeners.

Never play with your voice during an interview, at one moment, you are very loud, other moment, you gets dull, this shows your credibility, preparation level and your competence towards pressure bearing capability.

4. Always, wear a sweet smile but not a cunning one

A sweet innocent smile is no doubt a good stress buster, not agree with me!!!! Ok, just try to remember when you are in very bad mood, or simply in stress. At that moment, a cute little child’s innocent smile will drag you off from your stress truck, and left you with a content thought of enjoying that moment with that cute little baby.
So, even if, you do not know the answer of any question, no worries, simply accept it with a sweet smile. It will play it for you, trust me.

5. Never try to be fool the interviewer.

This is the biggest mistake, which most of us generally do intentionally or unintentionally. See, I’ve a very important suggestion for you all, i.e. the interviewer has a quality , almost every interview, he reads you even before you let him do so. So, beware of him, if you are lagging somewhere, simply tell him the truth but remember, on a positive note , so that he may find the best in you, else he’ll get stuck into the storm of  your loopholes and flaws , and in that case, he won’t end up on you with a decent job offer. Simply, he will reject you. Sometimes, trick to hide something from the interviewer works out for us, but remember it’s a trick, means it has its own limitations, you can’t do shopping everywhere with just a rupee currency in your pocket, you need to be ready as you switch the country.

So, better not try to be fool or hide something from him, because in that case , you are hiding the actual you from him, so definitely , you’ll try to portray yourself to be someone else, which won’t give the confidence in you while showing before him/her.

Simply, be genuine, be bold, be audible but don’t shout, wear a smile with a perspective temperament.

And you are good to go.

All the very best!!!!!!!
